DANIEL DUBOIS VS JOSEPH PARKER STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS ANALYSIS.
The current IBF heavyweight title holder, Daniel Dubois is all set to defend his title against a formidable Joseph Parker. This fight becomes particularly interesting because of their contrasting boxing styles with some hints of similarities. Both fighters are indeed a tough challenge for each other to overcome, but we fans can definitely expect some fireworks inside the ring.
Before providing the prediction, let’s examine the strengths and weaknesses of each heavyweight.
DANIEL DUBOIS

After losing to Oleksandr Usyk, who later dethroned “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Dubois seeks to chase him and pursue his path to supremacy.
If we were to characterize Daniel Dubois’s fighting style, it can be described as organized chaos. He relentlessly pressures his opponents with tremendous power in his hands, and on top of that, he’s also very agile. It’s a proper amalgamation of aggression with organization.
Dubois likes to control the center by immediately stepping forward. After putting his opponent on the back foot, he mostly uses jabs which are not only just accurate, but they are also powerful and show their damage in the later rounds. There’s a reason why former British professional boxer Richie Woodhall is a fan of Dubois’s jabs.
Daniel Dubois’s primary strength lies in the powerful hook shots and his ability to constantly fire them without losing significant stamina. His conservation of energy while landing knockout blows becomes a dangerous weapon for the opponents. If that’s not enough, his fight against Hrgović and Miller was absolute mayhem where he continuously chased them with big shots but didn’t get much tired.
He knocked down AJ in the opening round, at the end of round three, and twice in the fourth round, demonstrating his capability to land havier shots at any moment.
As a world-class boxer, Dubois doesn’t have many holes in his game. However, there are some flaws that his opponents can take advantage of.
Controlling Center Early: Controlling the center of the ring early and picking out shots often creates trouble for Dubois. Although he fights decently on his back foot, it is not in his nature to fight backward, not being the first one to pressure his opponent. Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce took early control of the center and found amazing success against Dubois.
Speed: Another issue that troubles Dubois is when his opponent is faster than him. If Dubois is served with a static target, then he just smashes them without any hesitation. But, if the opponent is more agile than him and prefers not to engage in an “I hit you, and you hit me battle,” then Dubois momentarily gets disoriented in the process and relies on landing the shots with more power instead of breaking them systematically.
Jab + Straight Right Hand Combo: Earlier, I mentioned how Daniel Dubois uses a jab and follows it up with a right hand over the top. Doing that leaves him open for a jab + right-hand combination that works greatly against him. AJ, Usyk, and Joyce effectively used this 1-2 combination, but Filip Hrgović was the one who inflicted some crucial damage using this approach.
JOSEPH PARKER

For the heavyweight titans, someone like Joseph Parker will always be a problem. He is technically sound, fast on his feet, and also very composed inside the ring. If Dubois’s fighting style is organized chaos, then Parker’s can be described as cool-headed and assertive.
Parker has great control over his nerves that enables him to confidently handle some of the biggest heavyweight punchers.
Similar to Dubois, Parker also has the tendency to get into the center early, not only because he aims to put pressure on his opponent but also to avoid countershots. He likes blitzing in with a right hand and then swiftly retreating into the center. He doesn’t necessarily possess mighty power like Dubois or AJ, but his volume strikes are always exceptional.
Another thing that might become a game-changer for Parker in this fight is his fight IQ. During the fight against Deontay Wilder, Parker used a fake left hook to set up a right hand over the top, which clearly shows strategic thinking against a powerful opponent.
It is not only about throwing volume strikes and thinking strategically with Parker. He is also not gun-shy to throw haymakers and engage in heated exchanges.
Parker is also a well-rounded fighter with very few deficiencies, but there are certain aspects that can impact his performance, especially against a fighter like Daniel Dubois.
Pressure: Parker is also known for exerting a lot of pressure on his opponent. Whilst he enjoys advancing with precise strikes, the tables turn when Parker becomes the one getting pressured. Although Parker is also decent at fighting backward, the chances of him getting caught with a looping right hand against the ropes become an actual possibility.
Jabs: Jabs can do significant damage to Parker. He often blitzes in to deliver a right hand, but this sort of movement can be easily intercepted by landing a well-timed jab. His past opponents, most notably Zhileli Zhang, who is fighting on the same card, and Joe Joyce, used jabs to restrict Parker’s movement. Zhang was able to follow up with a straight right to knockdown Parker in his last fight, and Joyce totally dominated him to win the Vacant WBO interim heavyweight title.
Leaving Guard Down: Parker in his efforts to bait his opponent, can plunge into deeper trouble, leaving his guard down. In the Zhilei Zhang fight, he dipped way outside of his line, ultimately resulting in two heavy knockdowns. Mistakes like this can become costly against Dubois.

FINAL PREDICTION.
This is such a tough fight to predict because nobody knows exactly how they would approach this fight, but it can be said surely that this fight is going to be a banger.
Will the more technical and experienced Joseph Parker triumph, or will the young and dynamic Daniel Dubois claim his way to victory? We will find out on 22nd February.
There is a reason why Daniel Dubois is a favorite in the betting odds. He has momentum on his side, and after the recent monumental victory over Anthony Joshua, Dubois’s confidence will be oozing out. On the other side, despite a solid win over Zhilei Zhang, Joseph Parker’s absence from the ring for over a year could become a problem for him to win this fight.
Can Joseph Parker outbox Daniel Dubois to be victorious? Absolutely yes! But, if we look at this fight stylistically, Dubois has more ways to victory than Parker.
To provide a prediction, Sidekick picks Daniel Dubois to win this fight via 8th-round knockout against Joseph Parker.
