George Jarvis Gets Second Crack At Regian Eersel’s ONE World Title At The Inner Circle 33
Regian “The Immortal” Eersel has turned the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title into one of the most one-sided reigns in the promotion’s history, and on Friday, October 2, he defends it against the last man to challenge him for it.
The 33-year-old Surinamese superstar meets George “G-Unit” Jarvis at The Inner Circle 33, streaming live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium in Asia primetime.
Eersel’s numbers tell the story of a fighter operating on a different level, a 65-5 career striking record with 29 finishes and a 14-1 promotional mark. He captured the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title in 2019, then added the inaugural Muay Thai crown in 2022 by defeating Sinsamut Klinmee to become the division’s two-sport ruler.
His title defenses since have only sharpened that reputation. He finished Sinsamut in the rematch via body shot, then needed just 46 seconds to dispose of Dmitry Menshikov before Jarvis arrived for his own title shot at ONE Fight Night 34 in August 2025.
That fight lasted under 90 seconds, one of the most commanding statements of Eersel’s entire reign.
Jarvis, a 26-year-old Englishman from Lumpini Crawley, has spent the time since rebuilding rather than dwelling on the setback. The 6-foot striker turned around a rough ONE Friday Fights debut in 2023 with four straight wins that earned him a six-figure contract and, eventually, his first crack at Eersel’s title.
Since that 84-second defeat, Jarvis has won back-to-back fights, beating former title challenger Sinsamut and scoring a more emphatic knockout of Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong in the rematch. Both results have rebuilt his case that he corrected the mistakes of that first encounter, and he insists he is a fundamentally different fighter from the one who walked in against Eersel more than a year ago.
For Eersel, a fourth successful defense would only deepen his legacy as the greatest lightweight striker of his generation. For Jarvis, this is a rare chance to prove a first meeting was not the full measure of what he can do, with October 2 offering the clearest test yet of just how much he has actually improved.
