Darren Till, once labeled a UFC failure, has remarkably revived his fighting career, though not within MMA but instead boxing. Leaving UFC in 2022 after frequent losses, he spent three years away before returning under the Misfits Boxing promotion recently. Last weekend, Till captured the inaugural Misfits Boxing bridgerweight championship, raising questions about whether he is truly considered a legitimate champion.
Darren Till’s latest win
Till faced former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, dominating from start to finish in a highly anticipated boxing clash. From the opening bell, Till appeared sharp, consistently landing precise combinations that eventually overwhelmed a surprisingly slow Rockhold. The contest ended when Till delivered a brutal overhand left, folding Rockhold and securing a decisive third-round knockout victory.
It was Rockhold’s boxing debut, and the veteran MMA fighter was confident about his chances against Till. However, the reality was way different as he needed the medics to administer immediate oxygen following the knockout. On the other hand, Till celebrated his first professional win since 2019 and was super hyped. He also made sure to check up on Rockhold and both fighters were seen sharing a drink following the bout.

Is Darren Till really a champion?
Yes, Darren Till did compete for the vacant bridgerweight title and was also officially crowned Misfits Boxing’s pound-for-pound number one. He currently ranks above KSI and Tommy Fury, eagerly anticipating his return. However, the Misfits Boxing bridgerweight belt lacks historical weight, and Till still needs to build a stronger legacy to validate his championship claim.
Before fighting Rockhold, Till had clashed against Darren Stewart, who is currently in the bridgerweight division. However, Till’s MFB debut was against Anthony Taylor, who is a light heavyweight. Nevertheless, Till is currently looking forward to other big fights in order to solidify his status. The fighter has already called out Carl Froch to defend his bridgerweight title next. On top of that, his recent call-outs consist of other names like Tommy Fury, Andrew Tate, Mike Perry, etc. It would be interesting to see whether Till can continue his winning streak and championship reign further.
