Jake Paul Wants to Sign Jon Jones to MVP Following UFC Tensions

Jake Paul continues to make ambitious moves in the combat sports world, and his latest target appears to be former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

After already bringing major names into his promotion, Paul has now publicly stated that he would be interested in signing Jones to his promotion, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). The statement comes shortly after Jones openly expressed frustration with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and requested to be released from the organization.

Paul has recently expanded MVP’s influence by signing notable fighters from across combat sports. Among the biggest additions are former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, both of whom are expected to compete in MMA bouts under the promotion.

Jones’ Relationship With The UFC Appears Uncertain

The situation surrounding Jones and the UFC has created plenty of debate in the MMA community. UFC president Dana White has suggested that Jones is effectively retired, but Jones himself has pushed back on that claim.

Jones stated that he had discussions with the UFC regarding a potential fight on a special White House event card but was not satisfied with the financial offer presented to him. According to Jones, the proposal he received was significantly lower than what he believed he deserved.

Following Jones’ comments about wanting to leave the promotion, Jake Paul publicly invited him to join MVP. Paul stated that Jones would be welcome in his organization and suggested that he would ensure the former champion receives the kind of pay he believes he deserves.

A Potential Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou Superfight

If Jones were to leave the UFC and sign with MVP, it could revive one of the most anticipated fights in MMA history. A matchup between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou was once considered the biggest heavyweight fight the UFC could make.

For years, fans hoped to see the two champions collide. However, the fight never materialized, especially after Ngannou departed the UFC and later signed with the Professional Fighters League. Since then, Ngannou has also pursued high-profile boxing matches against stars like Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Meanwhile, Jones moved up to heavyweight, captured the UFC title, and successfully defended it once before his current dispute with the organization.
