John Fury claims he saved Tyson Fury from getting knocked out against Usyk

Which Boxers Earned The Most In 2024?

Tyson Fury locked horns against Oleksandr Usyk twice in what were two of the most anticipated bouts in recent years. However, he wasn’t able to beat the Ukrainian. Moreover, he was dropped on a few occasions as well.

In the video shared by Happy Punch on X, John Fury, father of heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury, asserts that his intervention was crucial in preventing Tyson from being knocked out by Oleksandr Usyk. He emphasizes his pivotal role in Tyson’s preparation, suggesting that his guidance prevented a potential defeat.

This statement has garnered attention in the boxing community, with some viewing it as a testament to John’s influence, while others see it as potentially undermining Tyson’s professional training team.

Will Tyson Fury fight Anthony Joshua

A potential bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua remains a topic of significant interest in the boxing world. While both fighters have expressed interest in facing each other, several factors currently make the fight unlikely in the immediate future.

Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing in January 2025 after consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk. Despite this, there have been hints that he might consider a comeback. Promoter Frank Warren has indicated that discussions about a potential return are ongoing, but any decision ultimately rests with Fury himself.

Anthony Joshua is currently recovering from elbow surgery following a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. He has announced plans to return to the ring in December 2025, which effectively rules out a fight with Fury this year. Joshua has expressed a desire to face Fury, stating that the bout “has to happen” in 2025, but acknowledges that time is limited.
