ONE 171 recently concluded with the card being headlined by Jonathan Haggerty and Wei Rui. For those unaware, Haggerty is one of the most well-known fighters competing in ONE Championship. The 27-year-old has now had 29 fights so far in his career and holds a record of 24-5. 

The fight started as everyone expected. The first 3 rounds were very close. However, in the fourth round, Haggerty switches it up a gear, unleashing devasting shots including a front kick to the face. The Brit was able to steer clear of his opponent in the last two rounds.

As the fight went the distance, Haggerty was able to secure a unanimous decision victory in the main event of ONE 171. As mentioned earlier, it was the Brit’s 24th professional victory and he looked great while flaunting his gold shorts and representing the Sidekick logo. That said, it will be interesting to see what’s next for Haggerty. 

After the fight, Haggerty speaks to commentator to praise his coach Christian Knowles for all the dedication he does to make him the champion he is today.
