ONE Championship Locks In New Era For Qatar

Doha is about to become a regular stop on the world’s biggest martial arts stage once again. A fresh three-year commitment will make sure of it.

ONE Championship and Visit Qatar have renewed their landmark partnership, bringing a series of global martial arts events back to the country starting in March 2027. The first show lands at the Aspire Dome in Doha on Friday, March 26, 2027.

The renewed deal builds on the success of ONE 166 in 2024 and ONE 171 in 2025, both of which underlined the impact of hosting ONE events in Qatar. Over the next three years, the partnership will bring multiple flagship events featuring World Championship bouts to the country.

Those cards will showcase the brightest Middle Eastern talent alongside international superstars competing across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling. The events are expected to draw international visitors and generate global media exposure, reinforcing Qatar’s growing reputation as a premier sporting destination.

The scale of that exposure is considerable. ONE Championship ranks among the world’s top-five sports properties for viewership and engagement, with a cumulative reach of over 400 million fans according to Nielsen, and produces events across more than 195 countries featuring athletes from over 80 nations.

ONE Championship has already staged two major cards in the country since 2024, and the organization’s leadership points to the continued impact of those events as the driving force behind the renewed commitment. This deal signals a deeper, longer-term investment in that relationship rather than a one-off return.

Ticket information and additional details for the March 2027 event will follow in the coming months. Fans hoping to stay ahead of the announcements can register their interest through ONE’s official Qatar signup page.

“ONE Championship is thrilled to bring the world’s best martial artists back to Qatar over the next three years,” said Hua Fung Teh, Co-Founder and Group President of ONE Championship.

“Our partnership with Visit Qatar guarantees a world-class experience for athletes and fans, aligning perfectly with our vision to provide the biggest global stage for martial arts.

“ONE’s return in 2027 will showcase our grandest event in the region yet, featuring World Champions across all disciplines.

“We are excited about the limitless possibilities in this dynamic Middle Eastern hub and thank Visit Qatar for the chance to make history together.”
