Rambolek Targets Nabil Anane After Dismantling Dayakaev at ONE Fight Night 39

Executing game plans perfectly produces satisfaction beyond simply winning, and Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon experienced exactly that following his devastating knockout of Abdulla Dayakaev at ONE Fight Night 39 on Prime Video.

The 22-year-old Thai striker dismantled one of the bantamweight Muay Thai division’s most feared punchers through tactical patience before scoring a second-round finish, then immediately declared his readiness for ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.

The main event victory extended Rambolek’s winning streak to five while improving his career record to 67-14. More significantly, the $50,000 performance bonus and emphatic finish sent clear messages to the division’s elite that the Superbon Training Camp product operates at a championship level. When asked post-fight whether he feels ready for a world title opportunity, Rambolek provided zero hesitation.

“I am ready if the opportunity presents itself. I think it’s time,” Rambolek stated. “I ran into him already today, and I already said hi to him. I told him I wanted to fight him, and yeah, I think it would be entertaining if I got to fight him.”

The finish validated meticulous preparation identifying vulnerabilities nobody else exploited. Dayakaev entered as one of the division’s most dangerous finishers, stopping six of eight opponents since his November 2023 promotional debut. Yet Rambolek recognized through film study that while opponents frequently punched the Russian’s face without effect, nobody targeted his body systematically.

“I said that I spotted his weakness, and the fans saw it on the ring, and I was able to show that his weakness was the body shot, because I studied his fight, and I did not see anyone [who] was able to throw the body shot against him before,” Rambolek explained. “He got punched a lot in the face, but then he was able to just tough it out. So I thought, yeah, maybe the body shot would be the answer. Maybe it’s not the best knockout, but it’s the knockout I am most proud of.”

The tactical execution required discipline throughout round one. Rambolek used kicks and feints disrupting Dayakaev’s rhythm while limiting exposure to the Russian’s explosive hands. That patience paid dividends in round two when he slipped underneath an aggressive combination, ripped the body, then followed with a clean hook upstairs ending the contest at 2:41.

The first-round approach tested his strategic adjustment capabilities in real time. After gauging Dayakaev’s reactions to various attacks, Rambolek recognized opportunities for acceleration.

“It was part of the game plan to see how he would react to my punches or kicks. So I was afraid, like if I threw a kick, he would punch me back immediately, like counter with that, but then I could say that he couldn’t react as fast as I expected,” Rambolek shared. “So in the second round, I switched up my game plan. I just made the game plan faster, and I just threw in more kicks.”

The victory’s significance extends beyond personal accomplishment. Dayakaev trains alongside reigning champion Anane, meaning Rambolek just finished the champion’s teammate decisively. That connection intensifies discussion around potential title matchups while providing psychological advantages entering future negotiations.

Anane presents different challenges than Dayakaev. The champion’s height and reach advantages create tactical puzzles requiring careful study rather than immediate solutions. Rambolek frames the potential matchup as problems demanding analysis rather than obstacles creating doubt.

“I have to go back and study him. Of course, I have to go back and ask my team what they think,” Rambolek acknowledged.

That measured approach reflects maturity beyond his 22 years. Rather than assuming his Dayakaev performance translates directly to championship success, Rambolek understands each opponent demands specific preparation. The relief he expressed post-fight stemmed from executing prepared strategies exactly as envisioned, proving his ability translating preparation into performance under championship pressure.

“I’m very happy, and it’s such a huge relief that I am able to win and able to achieve whatever I promised today. The plans that I had planned also worked, so I’m very happy,” Rambolek concluded.
