“Suffered the Most”- Anthony Taylor slams Misfits Boxing following his loss to Neeraj Goyat
Anthony Taylor went face-to-face against Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat on the main card of MF MANIA – The Fight Before Christmas. It proved to be a highly competitive fight before Goyat was announced the winner via unanimous decision. The massive trash talk and rivalry before the bout clearly translated inside the ring, as both fighters refused to back down.
Anthony Taylor started aggressively, pressing forward with volume punches, while Neeraj Goyat stayed composed, countering effectively and controlling distance. Goyat relied on clean combinations, sharp footwork, and defensive awareness, neutralizing Taylor’s pressure and landing the more accurate shots consistently.
Taylor showed toughness and heart, pushing the pace in later rounds, but struggled to break Goyat’s rhythm and timing. By the final bell, Goyat’s consistency and ring control earned him a clear unanimous decision victory. Following the loss, Taylor was highly disappointed and made a fiery post on X, slamming Misfits Boxing for alleged unfair treatment.
“I sacrificed the most for @MisfitsBoxing more than anybody has in this scene and I suffered the most for @MisfitsBoxing. Weight classes up and down… I just want a fair shot that’s all. I feel very under appreciated where I’m at in this scene and I given my life to misfits for the last 3 years…I’m not mad about the loss, I take it on the chin like a warrior.. but this sh** is fu**** unfair,” wrote Anthony Taylor via X.
Anthony Taylor was originally scheduled to fight Dillon Danis, but the bout collapsed following Danis’s recent physical altercation. With Danis out, Neeraj Goyat accepted the fight on short notice, stepping in as a late replacement opponent. However, Taylor has complained about difficult weight cutting, claiming the sudden opponent change disrupted preparation and forced harsher last-minute adjustments.

After the bout, Anthony Taylor went to confront Neeraj Goyat backstage, where tensions escalated into a brief physical altercation. Viral videos showed Taylor initiated contact during the confrontation, with security quickly stepping in to separate both fighters before the situation worsened.
Before the fight, significant bad blood existed, as Taylor had repeatedly trash-talked and mocked India during pre-fight promotions. Following the incident, Taylor faced widespread backlash online, with many labeling him a sore loser unable to accept defeat gracefully.
