Worapon Heads A Night Of High Stakes As ONE Friday Fights 159 Full Card Is Revealed

Friday, June 19, belongs to the Lukjaoporongtom name. Phetjeeja fights for a world title at The Inner Circle 19 earlier in the evening. Then the bantamweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Friday Fights 159 gives Worapon Lukjaoporongtom his own chance to write something significant at Lumpinee Stadium.

The card goes live in Asia primetime on Friday, June 19, from Bangkok, Thailand, immediately following The Inner Circle 19.

Worapon faces Italy’s Lenny Blasi in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event, carrying a three-fight winning streak and the most sustained finishing momentum of anyone currently chasing a contract in his division. Three consecutive stoppages, including a calf kick TKO of Tom Casse and a body attack finish of Soe Lin Oo, have made him the division’s most feared finisher in the weekly series.

Blasi is not a soft opponent. The Italian’s knockout of Nonthakit Tor Morsri stands as one of the most memorable finishes in the series, and his all-action approach has produced results against decorated Thai opponents before. Both men want the contract. Only one walk away with a winning streak intact.

The co-main event delivers one of the weekly series’ more compelling personal stories in Xavier Gonzalez, a 24-year-old Spaniard who moved to Thailand in 2019, stayed, learned the language, married, and built his entire adult life around Muay Thai in a way few foreign fighters manage.

A quick turnaround after finishing Payaksurin JP Power at ONE Friday Fights 157 two weeks ago brings him back to Lumpinee against Chatanan Sor Jor Joyprajin, a southpaw who has knocked out two hard-hitting compatriots despite falling to flyweight title contender Aslamjon Ortikov in his most recent appearance. Gonzalez’s investment in Thai Muay Thai is genuine and deep. Chatanan is the obstacle between him and everything he has given the sport.

The undercard features Petgarfield Jitmuangnon against Denis Dotsenko in bantamweight Muay Thai, Kritpet PK Saenchai and Petlampun Muadablampang at flyweight, and Teeyai Torfunfarm versus Har Ling Om in atomweight. French-Algerian contender Walid Sakhraji returns in flyweight kickboxing against Japan’s Kakeru, German kickboxer Arthur Klopp faces Turkey’s Soner Sen at bantamweight, and two MMA bouts close the card with Bos Chayut against Hsiang Liao at bantamweight and Sarmad Jahanara against Ryo Goto at lightweight.
