Over the years, there has been a handful of names in the hat which could of claimed the throne for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury were once the headline names for that status, before Uysk entered the division and beat Fury to became the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis.
Daniel Dubois has always been a serious contender, who has steadily worked his way up the ranks, but it was only until recently he had the opportunity for a world title. The IBF had stripped Usyk for the belt so Dubois defeated Anthony Joshua to claim the title.
Dubois now has his eyes set on an Undisputed shot after his next fight with Jopesh Parker on the 22nd February 2025. He wants to take on either winner of the Fury vs Uysk fight this December.
Dubois stated; “I’m coming for the belts!”
“Just going to rip right through them. If it’s Usyk then it’ll be revenge. Or if it’s Fury I’m ready to cover that territory as well. We’ll deal with it when we get there.
It continues one fight at a time. Never overlook anyone. I’ve got some big fights lined up.
Just keep coming through them, then eventually I’ll be right up there, undisputed. That’s my goal.”
