Jonathan Haggerty Vs Liam Harrison: When? Where? How?

Two of the biggest names in kickboxing and Muay Thai in the UK has to be Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Harrison.

For those unaware, Haggerty and Harrison have had incredible fighting careers, signing to the biggest global Muay Thai promotion One Championship.

They both also have had impressive wins in their last fights. As much as Harrison claimed to retire from fighting, he made a comeback to defeat Araya on his home show Hitman Fight league to win the WBC belt.

Haggerty had also recently beat Wei Rui in Qatar to retain his One kickboxing world title. While both fighters have had great careers, fans have speculated about a fight between the two often.

Will Jonathan Haggerty fight Liam Harrison?

Recently, Haggerty and Harrison have said they have a mega fight lined up next. Harrison, who is now 39, responded on X saying:

“Well I was supposed to be retired from ONE championship…but they recently made me an offer I couldn’t really refuse so I’m gonna have one more with them” 👊🏻

In a recently video, Haggerty had mentioned the respect he has for Harrison and for what he has done for the sport. So could sharing a ring with him be a tick off the list for him.

Haggerty has also stated his next fight will be huge.

Haggerty vs Harrison: Who Will Win?

A fight between Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Harrison would be an exciting and closely contested matchup, as both fighters are elite Muay Thai competitors with different styles and strengths.

If the fight stays at a fast pace and Haggerty can avoid Harrison’s leg kicks and pressure, Haggerty has the edge due to his movement, speed, and counterattacks.

However, if Harrison can close the distance, land his brutal leg kicks, and keep Haggerty in a position where he can control the pace, he has the advantage with his power and clinch game.

When will the two fight?

With the recent speculation surrounding their fight, fans have been eager to know when the two might share a ring. However, it is worth noting that nothing is certain as of yet and their fight hasn’t been signed.

That said, it will be interesting to see if and when they actually end up fighting as it would most certainly be one of the biggest fights that the promotion has ever seen.
