We are all excited to see Andrew Tates long awaited return to the boxing ring to face Chase DeMoor for the Misfits heavyweight championship title. But, is this a real heavyweight world title like Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury?
Misfits Boxing is there own independant organisation which was formed for producing entertainment bouts with influencers rather than ranked professional boxers. Also, they are not sanctioned by legitimate boxing bodies like the WBC or WBO so its not recognised as a professional boxing promotion. However, for those who enjoy the promotion and the fun it brings in, Chase DeMoor is their current heavyweight boxing champion.

Chase DeMoor Fight Record
Chase DeMoor as a heavyweight champion is nowhere near in comparasion to the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and todays Oleksandr Uysk. He is only as good as the opponents he has beat on the way. DeMoor has progessed since his eariler fights as he had what only could be described as an very poor technique. He has thrown sloppy punches which has almost left him turning his back on his opponent.
His current record stands at 5 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. His first fight was against Josh Brueckner and he defeated Chase DeMoor via TKO in their MF & DAZN X Series 3 crossover boxing match in November 2022.
DeMoor’s most recent bout came against Devinson Guerra, a Brazilian journeyman with a professional record of 6 wins and 14 losses at the time. Guerra is known for taking short-notice fights across regional circuits, often stepping in against influencer or crossover athletes.
The matchup was designed as a tune-up for DeMoor rather than a true competitive test, and it showed in the ring. Chase relied on his size and pressure to break Guerra down before securing the stoppage, but the level of opposition raised questions about how much this victory actually proves.
Andrew Tate Vs Chase DeMoor Weight Limit
In heavyweight boxing, there is no maximum weight limit. A fighter can weigh whatever they want over the cruiserweight limit. However, as much as Chase is the heavyweight champion, Tate has wanted a few added terms to the contract. He has insisted of a maximum weight of 200lbs followed by a rehydration clause.
So as much as this is branded as a heavyweight fight, in reality its a cruiserweight bout.

Is Chase DeMoor ready to take on Andrew Tate?
Andrew Tate, also known as Cobra Tate, was a four-time kickboxing world champion whose striking precision, timing and unorthodox defensive movement made him dangerous even against seasoned professionals. Chase DeMoor, meanwhile, comes from an entirely different athletic background and has spent the last couple of years transitioning into crossover boxing, where he’s shown improvements but also clear limitations.
The real question is whether DeMoor’s size, aggression and willingness to engage can offset Tate’s years of elite combat experience. Tate may be older and returning after a long break, but the technical gap remains significant, making this matchup far more complex than a typical influencer bout.

So, Is Chase Really a Champion?
Chase DeMoor may hold a title in the Misfits heavyweight division Misfits Boxing, but the conversation changes when comparing that status to the standards of professional boxing. Within the influencer-boxing space, his championship reflects his size, athleticism and willingness to compete qualities that help him stand out in a developing scene.
However, when measured against true professional heavyweights, his skill level, technique and ring IQ are nowhere near the level required to compete at a world-class pace. His Misfits belt is real within its own ecosystem, but it doesn’t translate to legitimacy in the traditional boxing world, where years of disciplined training and experience separate champions from participants.
