Darren Till Claims Chase DeMoor Has Priced Himself Out of a Fight

Darren Till vs. Chase DeMoor

A potential crossover boxing bout between Darren Till and Chase DeMoor appears to have hit a financial roadblock, with both fighters publicly sharing very different versions of why the fight hasn’t been made.

The back-and-forth began when Till took to social media to claim that DeMoor had priced himself out of the matchup. According to Till, the demands coming from DeMoor’s side were simply too high for the fight to move forward.

“Chase has priced himself out to fight me. I actually understand it tbh. His team and manager and himself don’t want to fight me. Why would they. I’m an animal,” Till wrote, adding that he was content moving on and wished everyone a good weekend.

Till’s comments framed the situation as a case of DeMoor avoiding a dangerous matchup by setting an unrealistic price tag.

However, DeMoor was quick to respond — and his version of events painted a very different picture.

Chase DeMoor Fires Back With Pay Details

In response, Chase DeMoor publicly revealed the numbers he says were offered to him. According to DeMoor, the proposed purse was $100,000 — a figure he believes doesn’t reflect his value or the risk involved.

“They offered me 100k. My rematch with Tate is 450k,” DeMoor wrote. “How am I over pricing myself you bum. I’m the biggest name in boxing, having a 8 week camp to stop you in the third is crazy work. Pay me and let’s fight.”

DeMoor’s reply suggests he sees the Till fight as a high-risk, short-notice opportunity that doesn’t match his recent earning history. By referencing a much higher payday for a previous rematch, DeMoor made it clear that he believes the offer on the table was well below market value — at least from his perspective.
