Jake Paul’s MVP launches women’s boxing league featuring Amanda Serrano, Alycia Baumgardner and Caroline Dubois

Jake Paul’s promotion, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), has taken another major step toward expanding women’s boxing with the launch of a new competition platform called MVPW. The initiative will showcase many of the promotion’s top female fighters and is aimed at giving women in the sport a larger and more consistent stage.

The series is scheduled to begin on April 5 in London with the first event, MVPW1. The card will be headlined by a lightweight unification bout between British fighters Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper. The fight is expected to serve as a strong opening to what MVP hopes will become a major platform for women’s boxing globally.

MVP currently has 43 female fighters signed to its roster. The list includes several world champions and top contenders, with seven-division champion Amanda Serrano standing out as the promotion’s most recognizable name. Serrano has been a key part of MVP’s effort to bring greater attention to women’s boxing through high-profile events.

The launch of MVPW also comes alongside new broadcast partnerships that will expand the league’s reach. Events will be shown on ESPN in the United States, while fans in the United Kingdom will be able to watch the cards through Sky Sports.

Jake Paul and MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said the promotion has been committed to supporting female athletes for years. According to them, the new platform represents the next step in building opportunities for women fighters while also creating compelling matchups for fans.

Although MVP has described the project as a “league,” the exact structure has not yet been fully detailed. It is expected that fighters will still compete for titles under traditional sanctioning bodies such as the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF rather than operating within a completely closed system like the UFC.

Bidarian explained that the focus of the project will remain on the athletes rather than creating new championship belts. The promotion’s goal is to bring together the best fighters available while still working alongside the established organizations that govern the sport.

One of the upcoming events will take place on May 30 in El Paso, Texas, where WBA lightweight champion Stephanie Han will face Holly Holm in a rematch. Their first fight ended in a technical decision after an accidental clash of heads caused a cut that forced the bout to be stopped.

Another major matchup on the schedule will see unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner defend her WBO, WBA and IBF titles against Bo Mi Re Shin on April 17 in New York.

With a roster filled with champions and rising contenders, MVPW represents one of the most ambitious efforts in recent years to establish a consistent global platform dedicated to women’s boxing.
