Kana Already Knows Exactly Who She Wants Next

A win is never really the end of the story for Kana. It is just the start of the next chapter she is already writing in her head.

“Krusher Queen” claimed her third promotional victory this past Friday, outpointing Hong Kong’s Yu Yau Pui via unanimous decision in an atomweight kickboxing bout at ONE Fight Night 46, broadcast live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. The 34-year-old Japanese veteran, now 25-7 for her career, leaned on forward pressure and high output across three unforgiving rounds to secure the nod.

“For my game plan, I have to say, to be honest, it’s not like 100% executed, but most of the part of the game plan was executed,” she said.

“There are going to be two things. The first one is the fact that I initiated the attack. And number two is that I put a lot of damage on my opponent.”

Yu brought exactly the kind of relentless pressure Kana had prepared for, fresh off her own stunning 75-second knockout win heading into the bout. Kana’s read on her afterward carried genuine respect rather than the usual post-fight bravado.

“I have an impression of Yu Yau Pui as someone who is a very good fighter, a very strong fighter. And it doesn’t matter who she’s facing, she’s gonna keep walking forward, pressing forward. Actually, I accept her as a fighter with very good heart,” she said.

With the win banked, Kana has already mapped out the path she believes leads back to a rematch with ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja, the fighter who beat her by decision in 2025.

“First I lost against Vero. And second, Antonia Prifti, I lost to her before during my K-1 period. So at least I need to win against these two fighters in order to get a revenge against Phetjeeja. I believe that Phetjeeja is the best in kickboxing,” she said.

Beyond that hit list, Kana has one specific stage in mind for her next appearance, and it comes with genuine sentimental pull.

“For ONE SAMURAI, if possible, there’s the one that’s happening in October in the Ariake Arena. And that would be a good event for me to get in and fight.”
