Former UFC title challenger Darren Till has delivered a blunt assessment of the promotion, revealing that he no longer watches UFC events because he believes the organization has lost its biggest attraction—its stars.
Speaking during an appearance with Ariel Helwani, Till criticized both the quality of recent UFC cards and what he sees as Dana White’s dismissive attitude toward media questions.

He went on to explain that, in his opinion, the current fight cards don’t carry the same appeal they did in previous years, when household names regularly headlined major events. While the UFC continues to produce elite talent, Till believes the lack of crossover stars has affected his interest in watching.

The Liverpool native also criticized UFC CEO Dana White’s interactions with reporters during post-event press conferences.
“Every time Dana is in a scrum, when they ask questions… He’s like, ‘who gives a sht?’ We give a sht, I give a sh*t, so give us an answer badly and take your ego away.”
Till suggested that fans and journalists deserve more direct answers from the UFC boss, arguing that the media asks questions because the audience genuinely wants those answers.
Darren Till’s relationship with the UFC
Till last competed in the UFC in December 2022 before parting ways with the promotion in early 2023. Since then, he has focused on his boxing career, competing under Misfits Boxing while also teasing a return to mixed martial arts in the future.
Despite no longer being part of the UFC roster, Till has remained outspoken about the promotion and continues to share his views on the state of MMA. His latest comments are likely to spark debate among fans, especially as discussions around the UFC’s current star power continue to divide opinion.
