Cynthia Flores was in Spain visiting her sister when the message arrived. She gave herself three days to think it over on the flight to Thailand, and by the time she landed, the answer was already clear.
The Mexican Muay Thai fighter faces former three-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex in an atomweight showdown at The Inner Circle 20, streaming live for members in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 26. At 31 years old with a 25-7 record, Flores knows exactly what this opportunity represents — and exactly what she plans to do with it.

“Without a doubt, it’s the best opportunity of my career, and I’m not going to let it slip away. My first dream was to get to ONE, and then to stand out among the best — and I will achieve that. I want to put myself in a great position because I have worked very hard for this,” she said.
The preparation has been shaped by an unusual advantage. Flores trains at Phuket Fight Club alongside ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, the woman who took the Muay Thai belt from Stamp back in 2020. Having the reigning titleholder’s belief behind her has added another layer of confidence to a camp already going well.
“I feel happy and motivated that she believes in me. She saw the work I put in during this training camp, and I promise to give the very best of myself,” she said.
The scouting report on Stamp is frank and detailed. Flores has spent time analysing her opponent’s record and identified the specific advantage she intends to press on Friday. Stamp’s experience is undeniable. Her recent inactivity in Muay Thai is equally undeniable.

“Without a doubt, her strength is her experience. Her weakness is that she hasn’t been very active in Muay Thai and is coming back after time away from competition,” she said.
“I’m much faster, I have better cardio, and I’m aggressive. I don’t have the same experience, but I’ve been through wars in the ring. I know how to get out of tight spots, and above all, I’m hungry to win.”
Flores has run every possible version of this fight through her mind in the weeks leading up to it. Two appearances in ONE Championship last year sharpened her edges and pushed her to her limits. The outcome she arrives at in every scenario is always the same.
“I want to win. I’ve visualized many scenarios, but in all of them, I win. I’m ready for an exchange that could end in the first round or to go to war for three full rounds,” she said.
