Four professional fights, four wins, and not one of them has reached the judges. Adlan Umarov has built a reputation for ending things early, and ONE Championship has taken notice.
The 23-year-old from Kazakhstan has signed with the world’s largest martial arts organization and joins its featherweight MMA division with a perfect 4-0 record. His debut date and opponent have yet to be announced.

Umarov has shown enough power on the regional circuit to finish fights standing. His wrestling, however, is what makes him such an uncomfortable opponent.
He shoots with purpose, drives opponents to the canvas with authority, and pins them beneath heavy top pressure and punishing ground-and-pound. Once his rivals start scrambling to escape, he pounces on the openings his pressure creates.
That is where his submissions come in. Each of his last three opponents has been put away with a rear-naked choke.
His frame adds another wrinkle. Standing 5-foot-9 with a 71.3-inch reach, the young Kazakh brings an imposing stature to the featherweight division.
Umarov also joins a proud tradition. Kazakhstan’s grappling roots run deep, and its fighters have long made their presence felt on the global stage.

Former ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov helped pave the way for the countrymen who followed. Umarov now has the chance to write his own chapter in that story.
He walks into a division ruled by ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai. With length, wrestling, and a knack for finishing, the newcomer has the tools to become a serious contender if his regional form translates to the global stage.
The early stages of his ONE career will reveal how quickly he can adapt to a higher level of competition. For now, his record speaks clearly: every opponent he has faced as a professional has been stopped before the final bell.
Fight fans will not have to wait long to learn more. ONE is expected to announce details of his promotional debut soon, and the featherweight division has a new name to watch.
