Paddy Pimblett Mocks “Sore Loser” Ilia Topuria Over Justin Gaethje Cheating Accusations
Earlier this year, Ilia Topuria suffered a major defeat against Justin Gaethje, losing his UFC lightweight championship at UFC Freedom 250. Topuria entered the fight as a fan favourite, but Gaethje surprised fans with his durability before ultimately securing the victory.
Following the defeat, Topuria initially appeared gracious, refusing to make excuses and accepting the result without questioning Gaethje’s performance. However, with time, his stance seemingly changed recently when he went viral after alleging that Gaethje had tampered with his gloves.
Topuria claimed Gaethje had “put something weird in” his gloves, though UFC CEO Dana White and Gaethje have both denied those allegations. Recently, top lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett discussed the controversy in detail, while also taking the opportunity to mock his longtime rival.
“Ilia is trying to say that he had stuff in his gloves, which he definitely never. You know, the commission watch you get your hands wrapped. I think he’s just being a sore loser, lads, and being a little b**** about it,” said Paddy Pimblett via his YouTube.
Earlier this year at UFC 324, Paddy Pimblett suffered a defeat against Justin Gaethje. However, the British lightweight quickly bounced back in his following appearance with a victory over Benoit Saint Denis, a win that helped him maintain gain the #5 position in the division.
Pimblett is eager to avenge his loss against current champion Justin Gaethje later this year, while a potential showdown with longtime rival Ilia Topuria also remains an intriguing possibility, creating multiple high-profile options for his next UFC appearance.

Arman Tsarukyan calls out champion Justin Gaethje
Top lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan recently went against Mauricio Ruffy in the co-main event of UFC 331 and beat the Brazilian via TKO. Now, the Armenian has found himself in a top spot to fight for the lightweight championship and recently mocked Justin Gaethje.
“He never says my name, he’s scared. He wanted Ruffy to knock me out. He’s trying to avoid me, he’s gonna try to call out Ilia Topuria. He’s gonna play around bullsh*t games. Either he’s gonna fight me or he’s gonna [vacate] the title,” said Arman Tsarukyan via UFC presser.
Tsarukyan is currently on a six-fight win streak, has the UFC masses behind him, and is also on a generational media run. It will be interesting to watch whether the fighter finally gets his title opportunity after months of being ignored by the UFC top brass.
