Jack Jenkins was seen in action at UFC 312. However, he has been in and out of hospital since his loss at the Qudos Bank Arena. While he came into the fight in search of his fourth victory inside the Octagon since signing with the promotion in 2022, it was a rather unfortunate night.
Following a stoppage win over Herbert Burns in his latest outing, the Aussie got off to a strong start in Sydney this past weekend in his clash with Brazil’s Gabriel Santos which promised to deliver an entertaining bout. The fight seemed to be going his way after he dropped Santos in the first round but the tide started to turn.
Santos began to work his way back into the fight and after landing a devastating front kick to the face, he managed to take the back of Jack Jenkins and submit him in the third round to cap off the prelim card at UFC 312. Following his post-fight medicals, Jack Jenkins was discharged, leaving him to reflect on a bad night at the office but there was still some adversity waiting just around the corner.
