Thai rising star Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri will look to extend his impressive winning streak when he headlines ONE Friday Fights 117 against Italian powerhouse Alessio Malatesta.
The pair will collide in bantamweight Muay Thai at the top of an action-packed card on July 25 at ONE Friday Fights 117 inside Bangkok, Thailand’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
Yod-IQ – who trains at the renowned PK Saenchai Gym – enters this pivotal contest riding a seven-fight winning streak. The 23-year-old carries an impressive 124-36-15 record and has quickly established himself as one of Thailand’s most promising talents in the talent-rich bantamweight division.
The young Thai striker will face his toughest test yet in Malatesta, who brings devastating power and crisp technique to this high-stakes encounter. The 23-year-old Italian southpaw has scored multiple knockouts in ONE Friday Fights and possesses dynamite in his hands that can end fights with a single punch.
With 40 victories showcasing his finishing ability, Malatesta represents a dangerous proposition for any fighter willing to stand and trade. The stylistic matchup between the technical Thai and the explosive Italian promises to deliver fireworks when these two bantamweight contenders meet in the ring.
In the co-main event, 2024 Road to ONE: Thailand winner Kampeetewada Sitthikul will face Russian knockout artist Elbrus Osmanov in another thrilling bantamweight Muay Thai showdown.
The 22-year-old Kampeetewada boasts a rangy southpaw style with a lethal left body kick that has proven effective throughout his career. However, he’ll have his hands full with the aggressive pressure fighting style of Osmanov.
The 24-year-old Russian brings a 12-1 record and is known for his unpredictable spinning attacks and heavy boxing combinations. Osmanov will look to continue his impressive run in the weekly series and prove that his knockout power can overcome any opponent.
Also featured on the card, Australian fan favorite Tyson Harrison will square off with American striker Kendu Irving in a clash of international talents. Harrison, who trains at the legendary Sangtiennoi Muay Thai Gym in Thailand, never fails to bring the crowd to its feet with his all-action fighting style.
The 24-year-old Australian faces Irving, who has been living and training in Thailand for two years. The 25-year-old American brings a well-rounded technical approach and 12-4 record into this matchup that could inch either man closer to the life-changing US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
