The new Street Fighter movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 16, 2026. It was originally set for an earlier date under Sony, but the distribution rights later shifted to Paramount Pictures. Story and Setting

The plot is expected to take place in 1993 and will follow Ryu and Ken as they are drawn into a mysterious martial arts tournament known as World Warrior. Chun Li is also believed to play a key role in bringing the fighters together while the threat of M. Bison looms in the background. The film is aiming to balance fan nostalgia with grounded action and a more serious tone compared to earlier adaptations.
