Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak Targets Yu Yau Pui’s Clinch Weakness At ONE Fight Night 41

She made her ONE Championship debut at 16 with a 60-second knockout and spent the years that followed building a record that made the entire atomweight division take notice. Now, after a stretch away from competition that tested her in ways no opponent ever could, Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak is ready to remind everyone exactly who she is.

The 22-year-old Supergirl Jaroonsak Gym representative faces Yu Yau Pui in an atomweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 41: Sinsamut vs. Jarvis on Prime Video on Friday, March 13, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The road back has not been straightforward. A scheduled bout against Teodora Kirilova in August 2025 fell apart when Supergirl missed weight, a setback that stung deeply after a long wait to compete again. Online criticism during her time away compounded the difficulty. What pulled her through was a deliberate choice to filter the noise and lean into the support that was always there.

“I admit I was quite fed up with social media,” she said. “I still see negative comments occasionally, but I try to focus only on the people who love and support me. Those haters wouldn’t dare say those things to my face anyway. With age, I’ve learned to manage my thoughts better.”

Motivation, when it returned, arrived in the most personal of forms. Rewatching old fights reminded her of why she first fell in love with Muay Thai, and a broader sense of purpose — fighting for her family, her nine dogs and cats at home — gave her renewed drive to step back through the ropes.

Supergirl arrives with a thorough read on her opponent. She respects Yu’s relentless forward pressure and iron will, but she has identified the clinch as a clear vulnerability — and she intends to exploit every inch of her height and reach advantage to punish the Hong Kong southpaw from range before dragging her into that close work.

“Yu Yau Pui’s scariest strength is her heart. She is incredibly tough and keeps pressing forward relentlessly. Her weakness, however, is that she isn’t very skilled in the Muay Thai clinch game. I’m ready to use my more comprehensive set of weapons to attack her. My advantage this time is my height and reach. Besides my signature knees, I’ve been adding more focus on my punches and elbows.”

With both fighters returning from losses and hungry to rebuild, the intensity of March 13 is not in doubt. Supergirl expects a war — and she intends to be the one still standing at the end of it.

“In the first round, I might focus on feeling things out and not being reckless because I need to warm up my body to get used to combat again. But the opportunity to finish the fight can happen at any moment, especially with 4-ounce gloves. We both want to win to regain the fans’ faith. I will fight my hardest to be the one who gets the victory.”
